The Department would like to congratulate our three officials who participated in the recent 2025 Comrades Marathon in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal Province. The officials are Dr. Lerato Banda, who completed the marathon in 10 hours and 33 minutes, Mr. Themba Mathebula with a time of 10 hours and 43 minutes, and Ms. Malebo Manyala, who finished in 11 hours and 53 minutes.

The Comrades Marathon is an annual race that alternates between Pietermaritzburg and Durban. This year's event featured the "down" run and is famously known as the ultimate human race.The participation of these three officials demonstrates that anything is possible in life, serving as encouragement and motivation for us all.
